Our Core Beliefs

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God eternally revealed to the world in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. By Him were all things created.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His victorious and atoning sacrifice through His crucifixion and His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that because of man's total inability to save himself, salvation is by God's grace alone; is received through sincere godly repentance, and a wholehearted acceptance of Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit, he becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus.
  • We believe in the present and personal ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. Those that are saved are resurrected to eternal life and those that are lost are resurrected to eternal damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. The local church provides opportunity for believers to gather together to learn from God’s Word, to encourage one another, to be strengthened spiritually and to minister to one another in order to serve their given mission field to the best of their ability

Ten Cultural Targets

In 2017 a group of young leaders met with our regional board of directors to discuss the future of our movement in the Pacific Region. The result was this document called the "Ten Cultural Targets" which has been guiding what we do, what we don't do, and how we do it.

1.       Movement Identity

Statement: “We will clearly communicate our identity as a movement. Vision comes from leadership. We trust our leaders to hear from God for vision.

2.       Multiplication and Innovation

Statement: We will continue to focus on multiplication and innovation. We honor and affirm the ongoing efforts to bring growth in those areas.

3.       Diversity in Leadership

Statement: We will demonstrate a recognizable diversity of leadership at all levels, in regards to ethnicity, age, gender, socio-economic status, experience, education and gift mix. Our leadership will reflect the diversity of the demographics of the people we are committed to reach for Christ.

4.       Women in Leadership

Statement: “We will give women a place of equity by elevating, including and releasing women to lead in all levels of leadership. Our culture will honor women directly as unique individuals, with individual callings, in all ministries.

5.       Young Leaders

Statement: We will create clear pathways, dedicate resources and commit to mobilizing young leaders into key positions and offices of responsibility and authority.

6.       Social Issues

Statement: We will clearly and faithfully affirm our existing doctrinal positions while elevating an ‘embrace-first’ posture on current social tensions.  Our “embrace-first posture” means that we make sure that everything we say, do, and think first exhibits the heart of love that Christ has for all people and in all situations.

7.       Lifestyle

Statement:  We will live biblically, ethically, and in accordance with our Holy Spirit shaped conscience.  We are committed to living out scripture and are not interested in adding extra-biblical and cultural requirements.

8.       Soul Care

Statement: We will prioritize soul care of the pastors and leaders, their spouse and children in all of our leadership development efforts. We will operate in the accountability that comes through prioritizing soul-care of the pastor/leader.

9.       Speed and Scope of Change

Statement: We will be nimble enough to quickly adapt to new God-given direction. We trust leadership to take calculated risks, while utilizing technology to accelerate buy-in and to evaluate the effectiveness of those risks.

10.    Resources

Statement:  We will strategically allocate resources to the ministries most closely aligned to our mission. This includes an ongoing evaluation of all funds for potential Kingdom investment.
