Below are some of the pastors who will teach and/or facilitate discussions in some of our courses.

  • Terry Reilley

    Terry has had the privilege of leading Creekside Church in Martinez, CA for the past 24 years while being married to his bride, Trina for 38 years. He loves his family made up of his two sons, Joel and Jamie. Joel and his wife Jenice are the parents of pt's first grandson, Isaac, while Jamie has 'grand-dog,' Rankin.

    PT's life verse is Philippians 1:6 which gives him confidence for the present and a continual hope for his future. In his "spare-time" he has had the joy of leading the Pacific Open Bible Church Health Commission, serve on and travel with the Open Bible International Mission's board, while also working to grow as a leader. He finds refreshment through a competitive game of golf, a relaxing jog or a low key game of basketball. 

  • Gary Emery

    Gary has served as the Regional Executive Director of Pacific Open Bible for the last 11 years. Gary has served as a church planter, staff pastor and lead pastor over the last 35 years with Pacific Open Bible. Gary has a passion for the Great Commission and has been instrumental in innovative missional initiatives that empower the local church, pastors and young leaders so that the Great Commission can be accomplished.  He is married to his wife Joneile and has two sons, Cory and Forrest. 

  • Scott Lelacheur

    Scott is currently the lead pastor of Summit Christian Church in Tujunga, CA. He graduated from Eugene Bible College (now called New Hope Christian College) and received his M.A. in Theology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. He has been married to Connie for 31 years and they have 3 kids, Madison, Macie and Austin. 

  • Rick sherman

    Rick is a founding co-pastor of Center Church in Spokane, WA. He and his wife Thea have been married since June of 2006. They have a son, Enzo and a daughter, Harper. Rick finished his undergraduate studies at Whitworth University in 2008 and added a M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University in 2012.  Rick says, "I am incredibly grateful to be part of what Jesus is doing through the local church! As a church planter I have learned the importance of fostering leadership in the local church, for the local church. 

  • monte lelacheur

    Monte LeLaCheur is a third generation Open Bible pastor.  He received his bachelor’s degree in Religious Education from Open Bible College in 1978 and a master’s degree in counseling from Whitworth University in 1980.   He started full-time ministry as youth pastor at First Church of the Open Bible in Des Moines, Iowa, and has served as the senior pastor at Turning Point Open Bible Spokane, Washington for the past 22 years.  During that time he has helped plant several churches, developed a church-based leadership training program, and relocated his church to a newly built facility.  He and his wife, Amy Jo have remain committed to reaching their community for Jesus Christ.

  • Brandon Berg

         Pastor Brandon & Joy planted Rhapsody Church in 2010, have been married for 22 years and have two beautiful kids - Kayla & Andrew. Brandon holds a Bachelor's degree in Management and Organizational Leadership from George Fox University and a Master's degree in Spiritual Formation from George Fox seminary.

         Brandon & Joy enjoy guiding people through the art and discipline of spiritual direction and love leadership training with an emphasis on the interior life of the leader. 

  • Gary Khan

    Gary has served as a youth and associate pastor, district youth director and for the last 17 years as the lead pastor of Desert Streams Open Bible Church in Canyon Country, CA. He also currently serves as the Southern California/AZ/HI District Director and as a coach and team member of the Church Health Commission of Pacific Open Bible. 

  • Chris hansler

    Chris is currently the president of the Pacific Planting Network. Chris and his wife Lisa are the founding pastors and now members of Celebration Center, a church they planted in Puyallup, WA in 1994. He also serves as the Northwest District Director and as the Director of Discover Ministry School. 

  • George Willis

    Working in a variety of ministry roles over the last 25 years, George is currently the Lead and Founding Pastor of Generations Church of Pleasant Hill, California. Prior to starting Generations in 2011, he owned and operated a successful custom apparel company which he sold to hold a full-time position as a staff pastor for 10 years where he led both worship and youth. He and his wife Kristen have been married for almost 20 years and have one teenage daughter, Madison.

  • Tim Zakarian

    Tim is the founding pastor of Waypoint Community Church in Thurston, OR and he also serves as the Regional Youth Director of Pacific Open Bible. Tim has been a significant voice in the development of youth ministries and young leaders in Pacific Open Bible. tim is a graduate of New Hope Christian College.

  • Mike Nortune

    Mike has served in multiple capacities throughout his ministry - Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, District and Regional Youth Director along with being the National Youth Pastor for Open Bible Churches. In 2007 Mike and Julie planted Life Church in Concord, CA where they continue as the Lead Pastors today. Mike is also a part of the Pacific Planting Network and coaches church planters in addition to completing his Masters degree in Christian Leadership.

  • Aaron Sutherland

    Aaron is the pastor of New Hope Eugene, a church they planted in 2013. New Hope has become an influential, growing congregration in the greater Eugene, OR area. Aaron & Paula have served as youth pastors, church planters and church planting coaches. Aaron currently also serves on the New Hope Christian College board and he is the vice-chairman of the Pacific Planting Network board. 

  • Kelly Armstrong

    Kelly is the founding co-pastor of Center Church, planted in Spokane, WA in 2013. Married in 1999, Kelly and wife Brandi have 3 children. Kelly is a graduate of Liberty University and has served as a youth, associate and lead pastor in churches since 2004. 

  • Mike allison

    Mike is the pastor of Celebration Center in Puyallup, WA. Mike has also served as a youth pastor, church planter and District Youth director for Pacific Open Bible. Mike is a graduate of Eugene Bible College. He and Kristine have been married since 1998 and have 3 kids. 

  • Ben Taylor

    Ben is the pastor of Discovery Community Church in Gilbert, AZ.  Ben grew up in the Phoenix area and loves scuba diving, skiing and playing hoops. He and his beautiful wife Angela have two children. 

  • Kirk stickler

    Kirk is the pastor of Calvary Open Bible in Springfield, OR. Kirk is a graduate of Eugene Bible College and worked in the area of real estate before stepping into ministry. Kirk is a lover of Jesus, his wife Diane, their 3 kids as well as cars and motorcycles!

  • Duane sayre

    Duane is the pastor of San Jose Open Bible Church. He is a graduate of Open Bible College and served as a youth pastor for 10 years prior to becoming the lead pastor in San Jose in 1994. He and his wife Rachel have 4 boys.
